Meet The Wild Team
The Wild Team is made up of Vik and Nab. Both former Zookeepers of Wildlife Reserves Singapore with more than 7years of experience in animal handling and training. Vik and Nab are thankful for the opportunity given to be able to work with species from Carnivores, Avians, Reptiles, Primates, hoof stocks and Small Mammals.
Vik looks scary, but he is as gentle as the hippo you see in the waters when it comes to handling animals. He has had experience working with the Malayan Tigers, Hippos, Malayan Tapirs and the list goes on. Vik owns 2 pairs of Love birds and a Ginger cat named Spaghetti. Vik is still currently working as a Part Time “Animal Chef” (Nutritionist) over at WRS, he is one of those man who is responsible for all the animals diet and food preparations. If you see him around, please say hi because he don't bite!
Nabilah (Nabs) on the other hand, used to be a Show Presenter over at Night Safari and swam across the River to join the River Safari Zoology team. She’s extremely fortunate just like Vik, to be able to care for animals such as Jaguars, Capuchins, Anacondas, Brazilian Tapirs, Giant Pandas etc. Nab has always enjoyed training the animals that used to be under her care, prepping them for checks with the vets to weight taking and administrating of oral medications etc, all through positive reinforcement.
After almost 7years working with Wildlife, Nab decided to challenge herself more and this time as a Vet Nurse. Currently she is working in an animal clinic caring for animals who requires medical attention or those who comes by just for the cuddles and treats!
Everyday is definitely a learning journey and we hope to channel our experiences and capabilities to your animals while you’re away. We hope to keep your pet as comfortable as possible and shower them with tonnes of cuddles and kisses while you’re miles away from home!
